NRA Pistol Instructor Course

Prerequisites

  • Possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills

  • Completion of the Basics of Pistol Shooting with a test score of at least 90%:  If you did not take Basics of Pistol Shooting with us, you may be asked to retake the test to ensure that you have a sore of 90% or better.

  • Pre-course Questionnaire:  This will be sent to you and must be returned before class

  • Pre-course Qualification:  The details of the qualification are available here.  We will meet on a mutually agreed date and time to go through the steps of the qualification.

What you will receive

  • The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting presentation and lesson plans.  This will be sent to you before the class.  This gives you time to review the material before class.

  • Written open-book exam

  • Course Completion card

What you should bring

  • Your copy of Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook.  If you no longer have yours, let me know.

  • Pencil and Pen

  • Notebook / Notepad

  • Drinks and beverages to stay hydrated

  • Snacks and lunch
