NRA Chief Range Safety Officer Course

Prerequisites

  • Possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills

  • Completion of the Range Safety Officer course with a test score of at least 90%:  If you did not take the Range Safety Officer course with us, you may be asked to retake the test to ensure that you have a sore of 90% or better.

  • Completion of NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the past 24 months

  • Pre-course Questionnaire:  This will be sent to you and must be returned before class

What you will receive

  • The NRA Range Safety Officer course presentation and lesson plans.  This will be sent to you before the class.  This gives you time to review the material before class.

  • Written open-book exam

  • Course Completion card

What you should bring

  • Your copy of NRA Range Safety Officer Handbook.  If you no longer have yours, let me know.

  • Pencil and Pen

  • Notebook / Notepad

  • Drinks and beverages to stay hydrated

  • Snacks and lunch
